MacroAir’s Founder and CEO, Walt and Eddie Boyd, are natural problem solvers. From pioneering the aluminum swingarm and the roof felt layer to devising the Cargo-Loc and the portable, self-erecting Jumbotron, their ingenuity has consistently addressed real-world problems. But, perhaps their most impactful creation is the HVLS fan, which revolutionized air movement technology. Eddie’s philosophy states, "Every product you invent should help to solve a problem."

Their dedication to innovation stems from a genuine desire to make a difference and improve the lives of others.

The Boyd’s natural problem-solving abilities have driven MacroAir’s journey, which began in the early 1990s. Walter and Eddie were approached by a colleague from the Agricultural arm of the University of California Riverside to find a solution for dairy cattle heat exhaustion. Thus, began a remarkable adventure fueled by innovation and dedication.

For close to a decade, Walt and Eddie poured their hearts and minds into creating a solution. In 1998, their relentless pursuit came to fruition as they manufactured and shipped out the world’s first high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) fan. This marked the birth of the entire HVLS industry

Our products are unparalleled in energy efficiency and airflow. They are assembled in the USA and installed worldwide. Customers benefit from local service and highly customized solutions from MacroAir’s global distribution network.

Our focus has always been on engineering excellence. We thrive on designing HVLS fans that embody the simplicity and precision of a race car. Today, MacroAir fans stand the test of time and deliver unparalleled airflow. It's this commitment to innovative engineering that sets us apart.

Proudly, MacroAir remains a family-owned and operated company. Eddie Boyd, alongside his daughters, Jaylin Krell and Sheila Riley, continues to lead the charge from our headquarters in San Bernardino, California. Their passion and leadership ensure that MacroAir remains at the forefront of innovation in industrial airflow solutions.
