The 2017 spring semester at Glendale Community College in Glendale, AZ marked the grand opening of the campus’ new Exercise Science & Nutrition Building. This 10,000-square-foot building has been transformed into a state-of-the-art Sports Performance and Movement Lab that is open to students and members of the community. To help make the space even more of a collaborative environment, MacroAir AVD 370 fans were installed to help create a comfortable climate that can accommodate the many physical activities available in this advanced wellness facility.
“We used the fans in the fitness lab. It is a high performance training, physiology, measurements lab, and teaching facility.” – Doug McCord, AIA, LEED AP BD+C/H – Architectural Resource Team
MacroAir commercial ceiling fans are the perfect fit for this contemporary teaching space where students, instructors and trainers are able to provide academic programs, classes and assessment services—including muscular strength, endurance and general fitness testing—all at an extremely affordable price.
“The end user wanted another level of adaptability for air conditioning or cooling the space because there is a lot of activity going on in the space. Everyone else in the building might be comfortable at the set temperature, but—for the activity going on in the fitness lab—by creating air movement, people involved in a high level of activity can still maintain their comfort without dropping the temperature to an unnaturally low level.” – Terri Soliman, Interior Designer/Project Manager – Architectural Resource Team
